CBIT (Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics) is the most evidence-based treatment for Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorder. This 4-hour online training provides mental health professionals with the knowledge and practical tools to confidently deliver CBIT with children and adolescents.
Facilitated by Clinical Psychologist Emma Spencer, this workshop will cover assessment, psychoeducation, habit reversal training (HRT), functional interventions, and how to work collaboratively with families to reduce impairment and distress.
This training is practical, developmentally informed, and suitable for clinicians new to CBIT or looking to build confidence in applying it.

About the presenter
Emma Spencer is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She has extensive experience supporting young people with Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders, often in the context of co-occurring neurodivergence and anxiety.
Emma brings a warm, practical approach to teaching clinicians how to work confidently and compassionately with this often misunderstood presentation.
