Description
Join our webinar for teachers, counsellors, and healthcare professionals to learn how to better support autistic girls and women!
Date: Wednesday, July 2
Time: 7 – 8pm AEDT
Location: Online
There is growing understanding that an autistic brain style often presents differently in girls and women, than boys and men. Much of the literature up until now has focussed on Autism as it presents in boys, or an externalised presentation, and it important that we understand as teachers, school counsellors and health professionals how an autistic brain style may present differently in the girls and women we support, and what kinds of supports we can provide to help them live their best lives.
The focus of this online webinar is to equip the paediatric health workers and teachers with the knowledge to identify and understand auitistic girls and women. There will also be discussion and presentation of activities for working with autistic girls, and how the supports that we provide may differ from traditional supports.
